J. Marie Paintings was born out of a passion for art and a desire for stress relief. As a self-taught artist, I have embraced my journey in the world of painting, creating unique pieces that resonate with pet lovers.
Arias – This beautiful girl belonged to my co-worker’s daughter and still holds a special place in her heart. Arias crossed the rainbow bridge years ago, but her spirit lives on in this heartfelt tribute. My most recent creation, completed in 2025.
Shania – This sweet girl was a challenging but rewarding portrait due to her unique angle and adorably crooked nose. Shania is the deeply loved emotional support dog of Lily, my coworker’s daughter. Lily recently learned that Shania has cancer, and this painting was created as a tribute to their incredible bond
Cardinal for Mom – I painted this bright beauty as a birthday gift for my mom in February 2025. She’s always loved cardinals, and now this one lives on her wall, bringing a splash of red and a whole lot of heart to her home.
Picasso – This feisty little guy belongs to my niece—and yes, he talks! Known for mimicking laughter and showing off his bold personality, Picasso was my second bird portrait and such a fun one to paint.
Koda – This handsome little guy belonged to my aunt and recently crossed the rainbow bridge. Koda had a lot of personality, and he was one of the first animals I ever painted. As I’ve grown as an artist, I plan to repaint him as a special tribute for my aunt.
Lucy – This lively little lady belongs to my cousin’s fiancé and was the very first pet I painted from a photo! Full of spunk and character, Lucy made the perfect subject to kick off my journey into animal portraiture.
